We’re seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of complex automation and controls projects. This role is ideal for a self-motivated engineer who thrives on technical challenges, enjoys mentoring others, and is passionate about delivering high-quality engineering solutions. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to design electrical systems, develop PLC/HMI programs, and support the commissioning of advanced machinery—helping drive our Lean culture and continuous improvement initiatives. This is an on-site position at our state of the art facility in Poughkeepsie, NY.

The Controls Engineer applies engineering knowledge to designs and assists with the development of major engineering projects. This position requires a moderate degree of supervision from the Principal Engineer or Engineering Manager. Any design or technical change decisions require management approval in advance.  Modifying controls, developing new or creating custom-built products requires collaboration and good communication with MPI’s internal team.  Individual is to manage his or her time, working efficiently, to meet the job schedule and requirements.   Compensation: USD $95,000–$120,000 per year, depending on experience.
